When should the shocks be replaced?

• After 50,000 miles you will notice a considerable improvement in handling.
• If they show signs of leaking oil.
• If the car exhibits unusual body roll in turns.
• If the front of the car bounces after coming to a stop.
• If you want to improve the handling performance of the car.

What types or brands should I use?

• We recommend using European manufactured shocks for direct replacement. Boge or Sachs.
• Shocks that are manufactured in the U.S. don't seem to have the proper valving engineered into them (too harsh or too soft)

What about performance shocks?

• We highly recommend Bilstein. They are more expensive but the handling improvement easily justifies the price.
